ABOUT

LAYERED RYTHM

MAY 2025 | INDIVIDUAL

LAYERED RYTHM is a weather & timer app designed to create a more engaging, “not boring” everyday experience, aiming to integrate nature's impression into daily app design.

It is designed for users who seek a sense of playfulness and engagement, even in simple daily tools. Inspired by layered paper art, the app turns everyday interactions into a playful, storybook vibe, and practical experience.

PROBLEM
Many weather and timer apps are usually quite functional, but often feel static and repetitive. Users tend to interact with them in a passive way, focusing only on quick information rather than the experience itself.

There is an opportunity to reimagine them as a more engaging and playful experience. This project explores how subtle visual changes and interactions can bring a sense of enjoyment to everyday use.
